According to Aids Wolf, confrontation with norms is their specialty. Finally, a band has stood up and called the punk rockers out on being a rehashed, uninspired group of "rebel" consumers.
Be the Bummer and be the badass, it’s “a valueless proposition and a noble pursuit in its own right”. Make the “ungodly racket” and if people walk out at least they’re walking. AIDS wolf makes psychedelic, prog-noise rock that clangs and pierces. They make sound that mimics grinding steel and highlights the banal existence of the 21st century primate, repetition, noise, anguish and a repression of the primal spirit. No, they don’t use the “mama heart-beat”: a term presumably referring to the Bon-Jovi-feel-good rhythm and its proponents. To put “atonality on a pedestal” and avoid the lowest common denominator is a pursuit of high commendation according to AIDS wolf. The modern musical formula was built to elicit a predictable emotional reaction, a guaranteed response engineered to be acceptable within the living room of the commuter. AIDS wolf, for those who can tolerate the feral screeching, will provide a healthy alternative.
